Default Funny story

Anyway the other day I am on a 6 lane, 3 on each side road, this is not a highway we just have allot of traffic around here. First of all I don't street race, my car is well known and no one bothers me anyway.

I am in the far right and in the far left is, I must admit a nice black Charger with chrome wheels, meaty tires, spoiler etc, nice looking car. Now what I usually get is a guy who traded in his minivan and jumps into something like this and thinks it's about the fastest thing on 4 wheels because they just haven't been in a fast car before.

Anyway I get the pacing routine going on, he's staying right beside me, traffic pretty much none. There is a light and he is still in the far left and I'm in the far right and no traffic there is no on in the the middle. I take off a little more aggressively and he stays right with me.

Now I gotta do what I do in these situations and that is get into second gear at 2500RPM and tromp on it, tires go up in smoke and I'm ten car lengths ahead before the guy even knows what just happened and I am barely above the speed limit because I hit the brake right away. This usually all of sudden makes their house move to a different location and they turn at the next light and start thinking maybe my car isn't as fast as they thought.

Anyway like I said I immediately hit the brakes so I barely even speed and he goes home and tell his buddies not to mess with a burgundy '80 Vette. Been working good like that over the years as like I said no bothers me anymore, except litre bikes but that's another story.

So anyway I hit the brakes and am now doing the speed limit, my turn off to my house is at a light but has it's own ramp. Soon as I put my signal on and begin to turn the guy in the Charger gives me one blip of his police siren

Haha wow thats pretty funny, good thing it turned out ok! Where I live in NJ, there is a police driven new Camaro that tries to race people who have fast cars, then just pull them over if they do do anything not to the police's liking. Good thing is though, that everyone pretty much knows it so its not a problem.

We have those black Chargers here so I kind of saw this coming. It's a good thing you used some restraint. FHP doesn't have the same sense of humour.

I thought is was really cool. My neighbor is a Supervisor and over the years through playing hockey and other sports I grew up with many of these guys, some are real high up in the force. I also not around at night too often doing stupid things with the car like I did with my Cuda.

Another guy I know is a fireman, his brother I used to play hockey with for many years on the same team and he tells me he shows off my car on the internet to his police buddies telling them he knows me so it could have been anyone of those guys or one of the officers that just plain like my car.

Not to sound like I don't like women but they are the worst, they don't understand the car, all they can say is it loud and it stinks, she bent over and showed a rookie officer the stainless tips welded on to my Magnaflows and told him this was what to look for and this is how they make there cars louder, I told here I didn't need anything to make a 600HP motor louder and actually went with one of the quietest mufflers I could find. She just ignored what I said.

When I told her about all her fellow officers that I know, she says she hates name droppers. ( I even had my neighbor out for a second gear smoke show, now how much fun is that complete immunity for a burnout )

I can spot those Black Chargers in the next county, this one fooled me because he didn't have those steel black police wheels, he had some nice wheels on it absolutely no markings and hidden antennas. I can even spot an unmarked Malibu from 500 yrds

They have retired cops and lawyers running companies to beat tickets, I bet they could beat that one as "entrapment" or something like that unless it's only a fine, so depending on what the fine is and how many points you would have to weigh that against paying a lawyer.

Up here they confiscate your car and it's 10-12 points and up to $5000 fine for "Street Racing" so you better have a lawyer.

Nice! I had an SS Chevelle that the mirror had: "Objects in mirror are slower than they appear", but I like yours better - more to the point
