I remember intalling item #5 the washers with the dimple facing in to the strut, but I do not remember if they were serrated edges?
Will take the strut of and inspect. Just was thinking I had the cam bolt installed wrong.
Do yourself a favor and get rid of the struts with the adjustable camber bolt. Get a set of adjustable struts with the fixed bolts under the diff or better yet do what I did and buy the competition adjustable struts rods with the heim joint/nylon endlinks! They are MUCH stronger than the OEM struts (which flex under load), are easily adjustable and hold the setting, have no bushings that compress going down the road which makes for sloppy rear end movement, and make the car steer much more positively. Just my 2 cents after years of screwing with the OEM steup.
Well, then if you have the washers installed, you just dont have them tight enough.
The adjustable struts are great, but the original design hold just fine when installed correctly.
I found with my OEM struts that no matter how tight you made them, they would change camber over time. I NEVER have to have the rear tires aligned with the fixed camber bolts once the alignment is set-It is simply a better system.
Well I check the rear strut out this evening and it was loose. I have adjusted the strut 4 times now and it always comes loose. Just can not seem to get the right leverage with the car on jack stands. Used a dead blow hamer this time after I got the car off the stands. If this fails then new struts for next spring.
