Ball joint grease boot

Hello. I am greasing the chassis of my car today and had something unexpected happen. I greased a few of the ball joints and steering parts with my pneumatic grease gun, and about 2 of them started to drip grease out of the side of the boot, not around the edge where it is supposed to. Did I do any damage by "popping" the boot? All of the suspension parts are new.

unless there is a obvious tear in the rubber, no. The boots are fully pushed on?

Yes the boots are fully on, and it seems to be almost a pinhole "leak", it's not a huge gash or hole.

If the joints tight and has no play in it I wouldn't worry too much.I drove an old car in high school and put another 40,000 miles on it that did the same thing.Just keep it greased.It's just a,little messy.No emergency.

Alright cool, thats what I was thinking. Upon further inspection, only one boot did this and the hole is miniscule, it will serve as a "overflow" if anything. All of the boots seem to be holding the grease, even the one with the pinhole, so all is good.
