I am either going to swapping my stock 350 for a create 350 OR I am going to be rebuilding my block with some upgraded heads, initake, etc.. What ever route I take, I want to add headers to the car. In the mean time, I want to get some extra HP. If I was to get headers and install them on my stock motor (with Edelbrock Performer intake and Carb minus all smog equipment) will they still line up with my exhaust if I were to rebuild my block or get a new create motor?
My exhaust is nearly brand new and I will need have it modified to fit the headers obviously. I am just trying to eliminate the need to have more exhaust work done once I do my rebuild..
Will everything line if I was to install new heads or get a while new 350?
The only thing I can think of to warn you about is, if you install headers on your stock heads, they may not be compatible with a head that uses angled spark plug holes, so make sure your crate engine uses straight spark plug holes. Other than that, a small block chevy is pretty much a small block chevy, no worries, mate.
