Street Legal is really not an issue.....what will fit under your hood IS, however. I use the Weiand "Action Plus" dual plane and had to shorten the Air Cleaner Stud to get it to fit under my '76.....What most guys do, and my advice to you is: Wait till you can afford a cam change too and do it all to once. Not much of an HP-Torque gain by just changing the manifold. Manifold has to come off for a cam change anyway, but then again its your call.....MY $.02 :seeya

We put an Edelbrock Performer on our stock L-82 on out 73. Though we didn't REALLY notice any power increase, we did notice that normal acceleration was WAY smoother then the iron manifold. And it did feel a little stronger comming out of the hole. But, like posted change the cam while your doing it. And you might as well replace the water pump and timing chaing too. When you get a cam make sure you can use the stock springs. Unless you want to tear into the head. Which if that's the case why not buy new heads?? LOL...that's just how I view everything...
