73 big block ???
Asking for advice on how to determine if a 73 is truly an original BB besides having the VIN #. The original engine is gone so what should I look for proof in other original parts that came with the BB option?

Have the vin but not the BB. Want to know if there are any other tell-tales that give away that it was an original BB?

Fifth digit in the VIN should be a "Z" for a big block. "J" for base engine, and "T" for L-82. This should be your proof unless you think the VIN has been altered.

Also big block cars will have capped u-joints rather then the regular band style, and they be equipped with a factory rear sway bar.
