Default ground wire

any body know were the ground wire on a 76 drivers side bottom of the raideator goes i took it apart some time ago to swap out my cam cannt seem to remember were it goes thanks tim bob

so it goes between the raideator frame and the frame of the car or just on the side of the bolt were the bolt goes into the hole if that makes sense?? thanks alot tim bob

My ground wire came out of the wiring harness and bolted to the lower front (towards the headlights) side of the radiator core support.
Where it comes from in the harness I don't know, I just know where I unbolted and bolted back up.
I don't think it matters where you bolt it to , I think what its doing is grounding the radiator support to the car because the bolts holding it to the car is only going thru fiberglass, so in a nutshell you need a ground wire from the radiator support to the frame of the car.

tim i tried to put the wire on still alittle confused i tried to put it on but the eye of the wire wouldnt fit threw the bolt i was putting it on the lower bolt by the drivers side wheel well ??????? i just want to make sure i get it right thanks tim bob

Hi,
I don't know if we are talking about the same ground and if the position has changed (mine's a 74). But the picture below I took looking in between the open hood and the radiator support, so the top of the pic is towards the front of the car. In a 74 there's a hole in the shroud for the ground.

Yours would have been pretty much in the same spot. You'll find the bolt hole in the radiator support. Clean the harness connector and the support for good contact.

thanks everyone i will do just that what i did was rebuilt it when i removed it the core support it was all rusted out but i think i see a hole .
