New ZZ4 Update - first test drive
After 5-6 weeks of coming up with one problem after another I finally got the vette out last night to take a test drive around the block. No mufflers of course so the wife was not digging it. 4-5 guys in their garage, loved it.
I put in a new zz4, B&M Torque Converter, rebuild the transmission (TH400), new power steering components, both front wiring harnesses, and new driveshaft ujoints.
Still having issues with the starter, think I'm going to ad a couple more shims and see if that helps. Other than that, the car is running great. I can't believe how much better the steering is. Going to go out today after work and make a few 20-50 runs to break in the rings.
Oh yeah, hood is still off so it doesn't look very good but its LOUD.
Next project (this winter) is the brakes. Very soft pedal. Think I have a leaking caliper.
