Default Updates to my Plight

well, if you remember I lost the keys to my vette, and today this problem will be fixed. With this issue resolved, I should be able to crank her up, and test the clutch (I have the tranny and everything back in, all I need to get in now is the drive shaft, but I should be able to test without putting it back in). Then I ca reassemble it all. Afew other things need to happen before she gets out on the open road. First, I need to get an exaust on the car. The place I want to have it done at is about 6-7 miles away. I have decided that for buget reasons and everything else, im goin with an aluminumized exaust system (with a crossover), and as far as mufflers ive made no decission. I was wondering if you all thought I could get away with driving it down 441 (minus exaust, to save on towing fees). I also need to figure out how to tighten the emergency brake (it also looks like the metal cord is rusting). After all this gets accomplished, I found a guy who normally media blasts boats that offered to sand blast my car at a reasonable rate (we havent discussed that yet, but I would be able to help, to cut back on cost). Then ill mount the new front and rear bumpers (im still not sold on this flexiglass stuff (my local vette shop told me abunch of horror stories)).. and then ill primer it, and start working on the interior... then finish her off with a nice paint job. I am also looking for some glass or acrilic tops (im 6'8 and could use the extra head clearnance).. mine are also in rough shape.

Default Re: Updates to my Plight (Wardour74)

I left out that, before I get down to the body work, everything under the hood will be removed, cleaned, and if needed rebuilt, along with a nice moderate engine buildup. (im thinkin since its the #'s matching block) I should find another 350 block and build it up, and set the original block aside.
