It's ALIVE..........kinda
For those following my 406 build-My brother and I finally got to fire it up yesterday.
She fired right up and sounded real healthy..........and a bit nasty.
We did have some problems though (of course)
Oil plug was left out by builder, I never noticed it and I used another location for oil pressure line. Within seconds after starting we had 4 quarts on the driveway asphalt.
Ok so we plugged it and refilled oil.
My alternator is not charging. I have to call Concept One and see what they say.
I wired my shifter wrong (transbrake) so blew couple fuses before we figured out what was wrong.
Coudn't get all the trans fluid in because battery kept cutting off because no alternator output so she will only move in 3rd gear.
And finally I have a loose fitting on a power steering line so thats leaking.
I'm just about Corvetted out at this point, haha-I've been working pretty much non stop and now that it finally started and cold weather is coming here in the Northeast I'm looking foward to taking a nice break.

Thanks alot guys. Been alotta work in a short period of time so I will enjoy the rest.
I did not have to restore it though, my brother did most of the work by far by doing the frame off work and everything else so I had a really nice piece to start with. Now I will take it to the next level with 9 second timeslips.
