82 Delco ETR radio install

82 Delco ETR radio install

So I have this Delco ETR radio to put in the car but confused as to the mounting. Do I need additional radio mount brackets? All I have is one strap that connects somehow. AIM shows two brackets on either side.

That is the only bracket in the 82 for the radio that you show in your pics. There is a corresponding place in the radio to attach to that bracket.

Yeah, learned that the metal strip bracket I was going to toss drapes over the top of the radio connecting it to the mount. I guess it goes over the stud on the right side of the radio.

I'll take pics of the install if it's right to help others.

you need to clean that bracket to make a good ground.
