SB/BB exhaust interchange question
I have a SB car with manifolds. I am looking to upgrade to headers and 2.5 exhaust.
Can I buy headers and match it up with a OE 2.5" dual exhaust setup for a BB ?
Basically I would be running an OE BB exhaust pipe setup from the tail pipes up to the collectors. Hoping I can just cut off the OE setup I found on Craigslist and hook it into the header collectors.
Is this a mismatch ?

It will work. You will most likely need to custom fit the pipes. The middle pipes and mufflers will be the same. Jegs sells a pair of collector offset adapter pipes (part number 500-18806, made by Hedman) that may work for you as well.
