Have a 77 auto, TH350, and there is no mechanical connection between the shifter and the switch..no pin, bracket, nothing..switch is there, but does not move
Hi, don't have a actual pic but found a aim page (PIN A) and detail actuating tang.
I think it's a regular slotted spring pin, vendors don't seem to carry them but you should be able to find it in hardware stores?

Compare the OEM wires and their placement to the aftermarket plug and make sure they are the same.
The wires on the NEW neutral safety switch, on the backup lights plug (pink & green wires), are BACKWARDS from the OEM switch. They're manufactured from M&H Electric Fabricators and I think they have a bad batch. I know because I purchased 2 from ZIP and 1 from Ecklers and they all do the same thing...my backup lights stayed on the whole time the engine was running . WRONG!!!!!! When I compared it to the OEM switch to the aftermarket switch, that's when I saw they were BACKWARDS!!!! I swapped the wires, the switch works like the OEM!!! And it still works!
I called M&H Electric Fabricators on this and told them what I encountered....
