Anyone know why my crossfire fuel injectors woin't spray? I replace the fuel relay and the fuses are OK. I'm really stumped and want to get this thing out of the garage. It worked fine when I put it away in November, and all wires appear to be OK. I replaced the ignition module too. Everything works but they still won't spray :mad
It sounds like the gas has varnished up your injectors.
You might have to disammble them and clean them out... first check the fuel pressure at the inlet to the left injector, if its up then you have the varnish problem...
I have great flow when the fuel line is disconnected. A guy who works on our work cars gave me a light module that plugs into the injector leads and lights up when they receive current. i get no light on that thing when cranking. WTF? What does the M.A.P. sensor actualy do anyway?
The MAP sensor is a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Bascially it determines the atmospheric pressure around the car to determine altitude, well for Throttle Bodies Injectors it does. In a newer multipoint injection system like the MPI/TPI/LS-1/LT-1 systems it determines the intake manifold vacuum and is used to help determine the loading situation of the engine at any given point in time.
You may want to check your wires all the way back to the computer. If you have good continuity to the computer and the computer has power you may want to consider having the computer rebuilt. Sounds like your losing power somewhere in the system.
I'm getting oil pressure, I can see it on the gauge when I crank it.
On the distributor? There is an ECM connection, battery and tach, and one plug I don't know where it goes. I checked all of those. They are seated and not broken, frayed etc.
if the car has fuel pressure in the rail and you have power at the injectors you more than likely need a computor. the best way to check is right at the computer there are two terminals for the injector driver circuit. you need the wiring diagram to figure out witch they are.
here's what i did so far:
Replaced fuel pump relay-bad now fuel into bowls. have spark , checked by plug in boot and grounded at alternator bracket=OK. replace ignition module=OK. all vaccum hoses intact. Checked fuel metering devices at top of injectors for voltage=OK. Fuel pump runs + pumps fuel=OK.
here's where I get lost. I checked everything I can think of. It just sat over winter. I can understand the fuel pump relay going bad buit not both injectors. I am clueless right now. Everything I replaced checks out ok

Find those wires and check them for 12 volts where they enter the computer right? (through the back of the harness) If it is a computer, will i be able to locate one?
