This may be old news, but it's new to me. I've been interested in the RamJet 350 for a future product, but was wishing for some mo' power. Check this out: http://www.goautocenter.com/350%20ram%20jet.htm :D
It's the RJ350 with fast-burn heads, HOT cam, and some reprogramming. I guess you could do the same yourself for a few bucks less, but this is the first I've seen of a ready-made package. Does anyone know how easy or hard it is to reprogram the controller to handle mods???
Am waiting to hear if I am going to get a test ram jet at a unbelievable price and was wondering about reprogramming the computer for mods. Now I know it can be done and I see a ram jet 383 in my future, I hope! Hope some praying will help. :)
I like the ramjet too. The only thing about it that bothers me is two bolt mains, cast (not forged) pistons. Although a factory fuel injected hot rod motor would be way smooth, powerful and classy as hell :yesnod:
I know I am going to open a can of worms but I think the two bolt may be better. If I have my info right, most failures are because the cap breaks not the bolts. By putting four holes in the cap would that not make it weaker? I am assuming that I am correct about the cap failing before the bolt. My father explained that to me and it was confirmed by an engine builder. Of course I am sure that there is no real world test data that can confirm that the cap fails before the bolt and if there is please offer it up. My stance is not set in stone and with REAL data I could change my opinion.
But I will take a ram jet with either two or four bolt and be happy. :yesnod:
Yeah, I don't know for sure about 2 and 4 bolt mains. I can't argue and I think the engineers at chevrolet would know best and they made it 2 bolt.
