I am in the process of preparing my 79 for new paint. While in the process of removing the outside driver's side key lock I noticed on the inside of the door a 2 prong electrical connection attached to the clip that holds the door lock on. A wire that looks like it should be connected to it was hanging loose. At first I thought it might be for an alarm system, but I don't see any evidence that the car has an alarm. The setup does look like a factory setup. Does anyone know what the wire is for and what it does? Thanks for your help.
