Default Valve cover trimming methods
I bought a new set of cast aluminum valve covers that don't have the reliefs to clear the intake manifold runners. Any tips for trimming them? There has to be a better way than free hand with a grinder.

How about a thicker gasket? Summit lists them up to .313 thick.

Or double thick cork ones..been there, done it, it works.

If you do the double cork, I would glue them together with a thin bead of Indian Head...helps prevent any leaking, makes them into one unit
