1968 convertible top pad-straps?
Hi,
I'm close to start installing the new ragtop on my frame. The kit from Al Knoch included these extra "straps":
Ehhh....stupid question perhaps - but whats the idea behind these pieces?
Anyone with suggestions on staple sizes that works good?

Seems like 3/8 staples is a good choice, and 1/2 for the wireon according to Als installation video.
BUT, I really dont get it as for the extra straps shown above. Anyone that has installed an Al Knoch top recently with comments?
