Default Trailing Arm Rebuilding Road Trip to CT.

Well I am pretty close to deciding on getting my T-Arms to Gary R. for rebuilding along with having him look at the differential.

I am about 315 miles from him in MD. The shipping both ways is probably in the $420 range for all three pieces. Maybe a little more.

Is anyone headed up that way on business or would anyone be interested in getting their arms to Gary too. If so maybe I could deliver the arms and you could pick them up or visa versa. My beater ride (Honda Insight) gets over 40 mpg so the gas would only run me $32 each way.

I could meet half way if you live in Jersey.

Please let me know if there is any interest. I hate wasting all that money just for shipping.

You picked the right guy to do the work. He did a first rate job on my diff and trailing arms. I wish he would come back to CF. He is a wealth of knowledge and a nice guy.

You ever use Tony's Corvette in Gaitherburg? I just found the place recently and all they do is Corvettes. Not sure if they do what you need though.

Default T-Arms

Tony's Corvette is the best. Yes I have had him do some work for me.

I talked to him about it and he said that if I want the parts painted and detailed that he he sends them out too. I have seen the Bair's T-Arm boxes there many times.

Thanks

I'm a BIG Gary fan too!
He built my 12 bolt and a set of new off set trailing arms for my '70 last year.

Default Road trip to CT

Well just when I thought I was out of the woods.

I checked my Trailing Arms back shortly after the original post.

I was not sure what I was looking for and thought they were both okay.

I had the car inspected by a very knowledgeable corvette shop and he thought he noticed something with the passenger side TA.

I disassembled and he was right.

Is anyone planning a road trip to CT. within the next month or so? I am in no big hurry to spend the $$$ but now it has gotta be fixed.

I may as well drop the rear and have Gary check it out too.

Geez this is getting expensive.

Bill
