I have been working on a 74 for a while now and i just got the door lock cylinders in and as i went to install them i realized a clip was broke that is needed. When i shut the door it somehow locked and now i can not get it open. i do have the door panel off and i have been messing with it all morning but nothing seems to work, ive checked the other door to see how the lock system works and everything seems to be moving just the same as the one that wont open.
Just looking for a little advice if anyone has encountered this problem before.

I just put my latch and locks back in my 74 after new paint, if you have the door inside panel off I would disconnect both lock linkages and manually reach in the upper door side of the latch to move the lock mechanism on the latch, you should be able to open the door....if it won't unlock manually then take off the outside door handle rod and try to unlock.....if you have the outside linkage adjusted wrong it won't allow the lock mechanism to move correctly...I had this problem.....Fred
