Sorry to hear about you getting flamed on a previous post. The good news is that you are sufficiently thick skinned and kept going
I'm retired too and have been working on my '73 for about 2 years. I found most of the general restoration parts I needed at Zip, Wilcox and Corvette Central. Wilcox has a great section called "Repair & Install Help. It's a little disorganized, but very helpful!
I've replaced or rebuilt the entire suspension and got everything from Van Steel and Vette Brakes. I suggest that you take it slow and do a lot of reading of this forum before you begin repairs and replacement of parts. I really hate it when I have bought parts only to find out later that there is something else that is a lot better.
