Default Suspension question

Has anyone gone from a composite spring to the coil over suspension ? Most of the time will just be going down the road at 60 m.p.h. No hard cornering. Any improvement in ride? Any other benefits ? Thanks.

If you just want to improve the ride, save yourself a bunch of time and money. Install a Hyperco 200 lb fiberglass spring (they call it an EZ Ride) from Eckler's or Van Steel. If you already have a pair of good rear shocks, you are done. If you want, the Bilstein sport shocks seem to be highly recommended. But I'm running Delco (530-4) gas shocks.
If you are running a high rate spring now, you may want to try a bit larger rear bar in combination with the softer spring, to balance the handling. Or not. Drive it for a while first.

Thanks gcusmano74. I still have the stock steel spring. The composite works in my zo6 so it is probably good enough for the old 69. I have a lot of other things the car needs.
