Hello everyone I am a new member with a 75 coupe. I have a small problem. Last summer the light switch burned out, most likley because of all the !!! that the previous owner did. Now the whole car is complety dead. Battery is good and there is good contact to starter, after that ? I am rewiring from that point on. Am I on the right track, any advice?

It might just be the fusible link coming from the starter. There should be a section of wire with two rubber barrels (for lack of a better name). The wire between those two barrels acts as a fuse when there is an overload. If it is burned out (you can't usually tell just by looking at it) then the car will have no electric power. Sometimes you can feel the wire and tell that there is nothing but the rubber coating left. Otherwise you need to get a test light and see if you have power after the link.
