Default VBP smart strut problems...

i was rebuilding my diff the other day and when i took my two year old VBP smart struts off i found that both ends connecting to the trailing arms have a lot of play in them. They wiggle back and fourth very easy and have between 1/8th and 1/4 play in and out around the metal post. Its like the poly has been really beat up. Anyway i was wondering if there was a way to replace the poly bushings with a Hiem joint style rod ends?

does anyone have a part number?

When you took the rods off was the lock-down nuts tight or were they loose?

I believe VBP sells strut rods with Heim joints. Guildstrand Motor Sports sells Heim joint strut rods and also Tom's Differentials sells Heim joint strut rods.

I have Tom's Differentials strut rods with Heim joints on my 68 and 70. Tom's is expensive, but Guildstrand is more. Don't know the price comparison with VBP, although I'd guess VBP is less.
