Clutch Kit
My engine is finally ready to be put back in, I decided to install a new clutch. But, everytime I call for clutch the size of the disk I am being told is 10 1/2". I measured the one I removed it is closer to 11", one guy looked up the size for the Big block. It is 10 15/16" which is closer to 11".
I was told by the previous owner a differenct clutch was installed on this car (high performance) version. So, can I go with the big block clutch kit that contain the 10 15/16" disk? thank you.

Sure, as long as the clutch slips over the splines of your trans shaft. Also, be sure you start with a flywheel that has been resurfaced. I am using an 11 inch clutch disk on my small block engine.

Thank you! I went with the High Performance version which include the 11" X 26 spine disk. Yes, the same guy who duild the motor turned it and balanced it with all the internal part of the engine.

Be careful about your clutch selection. You must be realistic about the available engine torque and your use of the car. Put in a race type clutch that will hold 700 lb ft, and you won't be happy if you need to drive that car in stop and go traffic.
