Default FAST EZ EFI el. power

I have installed the EZ EFI system on a 383 stroker with HEI in a '71 Vette and have 2 issues to be resolved prior to start up and wonder if anyone can help. First, the unit (pink wire) require power during ignition (running) AND cranking. Can anyone give me an idea of wich wire(s) on a '71 that has this feature.
Second, the HEI distributor is set up with vacuum advance when running with a carb. Will the vacuum advance be used in the new EFI setup and if not do I need to adjust timing?
Regards
Henry

Nobody that knows anything about this?
I do have one outlet in the fuse box that is ignition and goes directly to the HEI positive side. FAST manual state that it should NOT be connected to the positive side of coil. Do they mean directly at the coil itself or any wire connected to the positive side of the coil. I can connect in paralell in the fuse box but it is still connected to the positive side of the coil. Will this satisfy the rule of not connecting to the positive side of the coil?

Any power source that has power with the key in the on (run) position will suffice. I ran mine off one of the ignition slots on my fuse box ( I have an 80). And yes, you do connect the vacuum advance. I used the ported connection in the front corner.

I think there is a member here on the forum that developed this system. There was a long running thread for a long time here.

I'll see if I can look his forum name and the old thread up and post it for you.

He was very helpful when other members ask questions on this setup.

Here's the link;

bluzman2004 is his screen name, there is a good bit of info in this thread
