Forum: As I see it, I can buy headers and spend the money to get them through the cross member.
Or I can do the Brezenski/ McJacks thing and get some modded up stockers that fit properly?
Any thoughts?

LT headers will provide the best bang for buck, period.
You'll lose a little ground clearance, it will be slightly harder to service plugs/motor mounts/oil filter/starter/steering components. You'll pick up quite a bit of power though. The stock manifolds suuuuuuuuck!
Not enough to justify the additional expense. Order a pair of reproduction stockers.
Yep, I agree. Corvette Central had free shipping between Christmas and New Years. Ordered a couple of stock 2" "hide-away" mufflers and hangers for my 1974 to replace the ugly round OEM "round" ones on the car now. Good deal and price at $144.00 a pair. I was tempted to go with their MagnaFlow offering but it would not fit with a 2" system. And they would not modify it for me. That's OK.
