Was doing a little idle adjustments and checking vac pressure so I was stating and stopping the engine. Then I went to start it again and nothing. Everything else works great, the wipers, lights, radio, turn signals just nothing to the starter. The battery has a full charge and I'm getting power to the power side of the starter. I'm trying to do this alone so I can't tell if I'm getting power to the starter when I turn the key but I don't believe I am because I can short across the starter and the starter turns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Shop manual shows a starter interrupt relay, but does not tell where it is...manual is nice but VERY cryptic. Also tried to paste the verbage off of it to get you the procedure to test it, but, won't let me copy or paste......will keep trying.
if you have no one to turn the key for you ,make up a long jumper wire with a clip on both ends for the ignition wire .put the other end on on test light see if it lights when you hit the key.what i would check is the wire connector behind the passenger motor head.your starter wires pass thru there .its a common place for the connections to go bad.look for a connector[with out checking i think] with 6 wires.
