Increase ground clearence???
Looking to add a couple of inches of ground clearence to my c3 (always bottoming out),any ideas?? will shorter spring link bolts do the trick?? :rolleyes:

How old is your spring? You could change to Poly bushings if your still running with the stock rubber ones. I had this same problem. I switched to a TRW spring and poly bushings and it's a MUCH better ride. I didn't think it would be but it is..

What they said. Check the springs, If you still have all of the original springs on the car odds are the rear spring has gone flat, and also the front springs over time will lose some height.

Well I think I'm going to put back my steel 9 leaf,(replaced it a couple of years back with a fiber glass mono leaf I picked up) heard they fail sometimes in the heat,I don't know how true that is but I don't think I had the clearence problem back then either..thanks all :D

Is everything too low, does the car bounce around too much, or is it just the exhaust pipes that are hanging too low? Exhaust needs to be tucked up pretty tightly under the diff to avoid bottoming out. One silly little inch can make the difference between hitting every little bump and scraping rarely. MJ
