Default Power Window Help Needed

Both windows stopped working on my 76 vette today, Checked 30amp Circuit breaker fuse under dash, Tested good...Is there a power window relay somewhere in the car,,,The switches are not pulling any current and everything worked great till today. I need to fix it soon because my windows are down... Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Are you getting power to the switches?

Check to see if the pink and black wire is still plugged into the fuse box ign terminal. That is the ign source for the window relay,

There is a relay. These are for a '75 and '77. A scan might be better but in case I can not make that happen, these will give you something to work with. mike...

If it's not the pink/black wire and the circuit breaker and fuse are good then you'll find the relay under the console.

Default How do you test the fuse?

My '76's power windows both stopped working as well and not pulling any current. I went to auto zone and they sold me the wrong replacement fuse. I already took the old fuse out and was going to look for replacement part online. Can someone tell me how to test the fuse before I buy a new one?

If the fuse is good and I need to check the relay what am I looking for once I pull up the middle console?

I am tired of high bills from my repair and was hoping to fix this one myself. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks, Autumn

The power window relay is under the shift console and mounted under the front left (drivers side), and almost under the radio. I don't have access to any of my manuals right now so I'm going by memory.(could be dangerous). I think the wires going to this relay are pink/black and orange/black. On my car, there is an orange/black wire plugged into the fuse panel at the very top that supply's power to the relay. Good luck.
