Center Grille - Moving it Forward
I just pulled the front plate off my '69 to improve airflow to the radiator. Now the center grille is sitting WAY back there looking lonely.
I know several people have moved it forward by adding some brackets or something. How did you do it and do you have any pics?

I just used some long screws and cut a few pieces of supply tube as spacers. Works really well and looks much better.

It's that chrome or plastic tubing that connects your sink faucet to it's water supply. It's like 3/8"DIA. The plastic is probably better as the wall thickness is larger.

I used 4 inch SS bolts, 1/4 inch I think. I used 2 nuts per bolt. I first inserted the bolt & washer thru the grille and then attached a bolt and screwed it on about an inch. I then inserted the bolt thru the bracket and attached using another washer and nut.
