Guys, I am new to the forum. I have a 1984 K5 Blazer 4wd automatic, with an Edelbrock performer intake and 600 carb, with a GM crate 350 installed. My wife has an 81 Vette that used to be in pristine condition until the fuel pump went out some 10 years ago (before we met) and it subsequently sat in a field since then. I was thinking of parting out my Blazer and thought about having my mechanics pull the 350 out of the Blazer and dropping it into the Vette if that would work.
If its been sitting in a field for 10 years, you might want to pull it out and inspect the condition of the car as it is, before doing anything else at this point.

Do a forum search on bird cages and the rust issues. It is quite possible that the car might be past being worth investing any or much money into it. Your 350 would probably work if the car is still rebuild able.
