Tranny Leak-Please help!
I have a pretty large leak all of a sudden underneath my car behind the passenger seat. Also, when I check my fluid level, the fluid is all bubbled up on the dipstick. It doesn't smell burnt, but I don't recall ever seeing bubbles all over the stick. Has this happened to anyone before???
Could my transmission cooler be out?

FWIW, a quote out of my Haynes manual...
"If the [trans] fluid is foaming, drain it and refill the transmission, then check for coolant n the fluid or a high fluid level."
I would think you'd want to check for a high level before you refill to see if that's the problem. Plus you could check the trans fluid & coolant to see if they're mixing.
Just a thought. I hope it's something simple.
Oh, just re-read and saw the "cooler" part. If you've disconnected the lines to the radiator, I guess the coolant & trans fluid mix problem is ruled out. Have you found the leak yet?
