, I'll start with the switch as you suggested, the wiper motor & park switch are new & operate fine.
Help, wipers wont turn off!!!

1978 with delay, so when I turn the wipers on, they work fine however when I turn them off, they still operate as if there in the delay mode. Every few seconds they swipe, even though the switch is in the off position. Any clues as to fixing this would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tip but I'd preferre to have the problem fixed instead of disconnecting the entire wiper system which is where im at now just to get the baldes from swiping when Im driving. Maybe Wilcox will chime in here??

mine had the same problem. turned out it was the switch. also when i pulled the panel i noticed the wires were barely connected to the switch so i wasn't sure if the problem was just caused by somethin not makin a connection or if the switch was just plain toast. new one was pretty cheap. now my problem is the motor is so old it can't rotate n move the wipers very well- got stuck on me one time when drivin in a down pour... i look like an idiot with my head out the window tongue stickin out pantin like a dog n holdin my camo hat on my head with one hand etc. etc. it's a hilarious sight to see. had to do this in hail too. it sucked horribly gotta love rednecks in old cars!!!

Yah sure rainex works but there is nothing like having a good set of wipers clearing the way. Vetteman, I had to do that in a blizzard in my daily driver to work, 30 miles one way, couldnt feel my hand for two days!!

wait a second... reproductions aren't out yet? i got mine at ecklers i think n it looks the same as the old un. just switch out the little handle to the new un n good to go. works perfect. has the push in mode for the washer fluid pump etc.
