I have a 69' Coupe with a 73-75 vintage hood (not sure of the exact year, I just know it still has the opening for the cowl induction flapper) and I am trying to figure out which radiator to hood seal I need to buy to make sure the air goes through the radiator and not around?
I'm running an OEM 4-row copper radiator and the car is a SBC with manual trans with no A/C.
When I look in Doc Rebuild's catalog, there are multiple listings for every year. I'm not sure which on I should get for the correct fit?
The numbers for 73, 74 and 75 are all different.
Has anybody run into this?
Thanks!
Elm
For 69 there would be two really basic differences. That is whether it has a metal shroud or a fiberglass shroud. You should order for the 69. Determine that first and then look for BB,SB, AC, etc to determine which set.

I don't think the 69' seal will work for this application.
The stock 69' SBC hood is low and flat in the front and the seal is low and flat. The 73-75 Cowl Induction hoods have a center 'bulge' that runs to the front of the hood and I need a seal that will fill that void that the bulge creates.
My question is why there are several different seals listed for 73-75s when the hood is the same all 3 years and they all used copper radiators in those years as well?
