Worried about wiring harness
I've got 3/4 of my old wires out and let me tell you somebody loved to splice things and put electrical tape over it. There is a cut in the factory wires about every 10in or so. The fuse block was totally disgusting when I took it apart. There was tons of dirt/rust/grease/oil/and anything else you can think of in there. I've laided out the new painless harness over the car where each section should go but I'm getting worried I won't be able to connect these factory things. I need some reassurance from you guys. Something like "We have faith in you or something" It's pretty scary taking the old wiring out and it's falling apart and I had to cut some of it to get it to come out.

It sounds like you can't do any harm to the mess you have! My mech was complaining about the wiring on my car. All I can advise is "Take pictures, draw diagrams and get help from someone who knows what they're doing! Get some good test equip and use it! Keep us posted please.

I've got the assembly manual and a couple of books with good wiring diagrams. I'm only really worried about the heater wires. They don't seem to be standard. I'll keep the forum posted.
