The sidemounts will look and sound great. I have always had a preference to factory ralleys but I understand with drag racings your desire to shed some unsprung weight/ rotating mass by going with the aluminum wheels. Your car does and will look  :yesnod:
thanks guys then ill put them on..and for the rallys i have 2 -10 inch ones and ill pick up 2 -8 inch ones later and have extra set if i want to swap back.

Pat the chrome looks really great on your vette, I like the look :yesnod: . I went on a cruise once with the club shortly after I started diving my vette and there was a C3 with sidepipes about 2 cars in front of me. Whenever we turned, ythe car looked just awesome the pipes giving it a lower & wider look. It was at that point that I knew I MUST have sidepipes someday.
The stock Hooker sidepipes had more of a muffled sound to them. The JCL have a great healthy rumble without being too loud. The nice thing about either is that neither sonuds too loud driving down the road even with the exhaust exiting right next to you.

How'd you make the pic??? I'd love to be able to do that.
Anyway it looks great with the side pipes! If those aren't Hooker's they still look good. I'd cut 1/2 coil from the front springs next time you have the front end apart.
Hey len i did it with a picture program i got with the sony mavica camera and the pipes i got coming are the hooker ones.i think ill lower it later on cause the tires that r with the new rims are lower profile then what im running.
hey clink its the picture they are 275/60/15 on the rear its from the photoshop i did on them, ill have the real pics of it next week when its all together..thanks guys now i cant wait to get them on and done,i was gone to put them off till im in the new house but now ill work extra hard at night to get them on. :yesnod:

I have Hookers on my 77, They look fantastic but the chrome isnt worth a poopie. Take good care of them. They will start rusting in all the cracks soon after they get wet the first time. They are a hell of a lot of work to keep them looking nice. I have had them on my 77 for almost 20 years . Going to put my third set on soon, but seriously thinking of going with the stock side exhaust from a 69. I never put the mufflers inside the sidepipes from the begining, I liked them load, but I must be getting old, I would like it to be much quiter now. Good luck.
