72' Tach "sticking"
I noticed that the RPM's were at 14... so I was thinking, that's odd, should be around 8 0r 9.
Then I realized the tach wasn't moving.
Got home, back in garage, turned car off. Tach dropped to zero.
Started it, it moved to 8/9 as it should.. but seemed sticky.
Turned car off and it the tach needle dropped to 5 and just stopped.
Tapped the top of the dash and it dropped to 3.
Start the car and it tach's up, but doesn't seem to be moving cleanly.
The car did get a good run today (up to about 80 mph) and tach was moving around a lot (as it normally does). Is this just a case of heat/binding or is it something else that is common?
Figures... everything was just so perfect and then blam... the tach.
Gotta laugh about it though.
