I have a 1980 Vette - when the head lights are on bright - all 4 lights are on - when I dimm them all 4 go out.
Which 2 should be the brights - from what I have read it should be all 4 - the the low beams should be the 2 outside lights. Is this right and if so why are the brights working and the low beams not working?
Could be a dimmer switch or connection at the bulb issue.
Best way to find out is to pull the connector pictured below and test for voltage with the lamps on low beam. If you have power, then you need bulbs.. If you don't then you have a break.
The wires jump over and if the wire is broken it will take out both low beams.
