Removing Chrome trim around windows???
How do I remove the chrome trim around the front & rear windows w/out destroying it? Also, what is the best way to remove the flaking black paint off of the chrome? :confused:

i went to a body shop and luckily the owner, being a nice person and a fellow vette owner popped my trim off with a special tool at no charge to me. there are special clips holding the trim on and you don't want to damage these. the only trim that was removable was on the back window. i cleaned the trim with some steel wool , wiped it down with solvent, let it dry, and sprayed it with satin black. also sprayed the front windshield posts after cleaning, and carefully masking off the area.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will have to wait for decent weather, then off to J & R auto body. :cheers: I can see that turning into another expen$e if I don't.
