Trim code ?
I just bought a 71 that I will trfy to bring back to life
the trim code is 421 the books i have list this code
in 72 as sadle deluxe interior, I cannot find a 421 trim code for
71 the interior is black and it appeares to be the orginial
it looks 30 years old ,ha ha

Just looked in my Black Book, and I'm guessing you've got the same book. No new info. Is it black vinyl, or black leather? I noticed there's no code for the black vinyl, as it's the standard trim. What's the paint code say?

things are going good on your end i hope
the paint code is 989
war bonnet yellow
my wife thinks i have lost it
6 years 10k plus in parts on the 78
i have driven it less then 6k
time to start it all again
must be a vette thing
she just don't understand
the 3rd restore is a charm maybee i get to that vette
that is in my head this time around

That's definately a 71 Vin. The trim code is strange but there have been a couple other discrepancies that we know of. Please add your car to the registry: http://www.71corvette.com
