Getting ready to install another engine and TPI in my 74. How much trouble to pull the front clip. Want to freshen up the engine bay. Car is in need of a paint job. On the list. Thanks.
Please don't pull the front clip just for an engine rebuild... You want to try every last resort to fix something on your car "OTHER" than pulling the front clip... I'm in the middle of having pulled mine and a month or two from bonding it back into place... It is a lot of work...

Well that answers my question... I have a 1 piece front clip from Eckler's that was installed long before I owned the car (69 Coupe).
The left side door, fender and hood seem to fit fine in general but the hood gap and the right side fender to door height and gap is a bit ****-eyed.
Sounds like unless I start busting fiberglass seams open, I'm kinda out of luck?

Way more work than you want to do for an engine swap and underhood clean up.
Pulling it isn't the real chore. Reinstalling it correctly is the PITA. The factory used jigs to hold the entire clip in place while the bonding resin cured. You will not have that advantage.
