Anyone using Kirkey seats in their C3?
I'd like for my car to be a do-it-all daily driven street and track machine as much as possible; putting as much time in on the autocross as I do on cross country roadtrips. Unfortunately, I'm separated from my project by the Atlantic Ocean and most of the US landmass (car is in California, I'm currently in the UK for work for 6 more months) - what degree layback should I be looking at?
The road race seat comes in 10 and 15* layback, Street/Strip comes in 10 and 20*.
What's the closest to the early stock Corvette C3 layback?
Anyone else using these seats and have any words of advice? How are you mounting them to the floor?
Thanks.

Don't have them myself, but I'm sure one of the guys here who has Kirkeys will chime in before long.

Ironically I was looking for weight saving ideas and searching various forums and I think I stumbled on something that will might help you somewhat. Remove the headliners from the tops and paint the underside to match the interior. Someone was looking for headroom and gained at least an inch maybe more and as a byproduct shaved off a few pounds. The other trick I have seen for gaining headroom is to take the seats off of their tracks and mount them to the floor directly. Being so tall I doubt you would ever need to adjust the seat anyway and that will get you another inch or so.
