Default Seized Engine Removal

Just got to the point of my engine removal when I realized I need rotation to unbolt the converter. Anyone try this? I seem to remember it can be done by sliding the block forward with the converter still bolted to the flex plate. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank's Vince

The convertor will pull out of the trans with the motor given enough room. About 4 inches I think.

It's more than 4" but it does pull straight out.

Drop the tranny and pull it off the motor.

Gravity can be your friend.

be warned that a whole lotta trans fluid will pour very quickly out of the converter, making quite a mess all over the floor unless you can catch it with something...

Why not leave the transmission bolted to the engine & remove both as an assembly? Just make sure to use a plug in the tail shaft & the speedo opening.

I agree with Jim pull them together and you can catch the fluid better it will leak a couple of quarts when you pull off the trans.
