I'm looking for a conversion U-joint from #1310 to #1330.
I currently have a greasable U-joint fitted, but would like a solid U-joint if there is one available.
Does anyone know of manufacturer and part number of a suitable solid conversion U-joint?
I found this Spicer item, part number (IR-S5134X) but can't determine for sure if it is solid.... looks solid, but there is no mention in advert.
OK.... if there's no solid conversion U-joint, then my option is to either convert the diff yoke to 1330, or convert the driveshaft to 1310.
Which size is considered stronger.... 1310 or 1330?
The 1330 has same size cups, but has slightly longer arms.
From what I've read, the 1310's were fitted to driveshafts on manual gearbox models, whilst the 1330 was fitted to those cars with auto trans.
Would I be right in deducing that the 1310's can cope with greater torque load due to the shorter arm length?

Click on the link for Yukon Gear super joints. These are chromoly needless ujoints, hands down the strongest U joint for comparable size. I have been running these on my front axle 4x4 for years after breaking every Dana joint i tried. Dana joints are extreamly stong though. I cant imagine any Corvette having enough torque that would need these, but if you want some solid joints, here they are. Al

Apples to apples (precision joints) the 1310 is stronger. With the spicer 5-1310X to 5-1330X they are the same strength.
