Default Big block fan shroud

Hi,

I am just finishing off putting a BB in my 69.
The fan shroud I have decodes as a SB shroud, does any on know what the differences are between big and small block fan shrouds

Cheers

I don't know what the differences are, but I'm running a big block in my '69 and using the small block shroud and radiator. The small block hoses even work with a little trimming.

the shroud has to fit the radiator it doesnt care what engine is in the car. If you switch to a BB radiator you would need a matching shroud because of possible differences in the dimensions of the radiator core and positioning of inlet and outlet necks.

Thats interesting, the car was a BB, had a small block put in it, the radiator is a BB unit and was running a small block shroud....
So on that logic it should still fit.

Thanks for that info

don't know the difference between BB and SB fans but do know that the early models used a 5 blade fan and the later years used 7 blades. my 75 is supposed to use the 7 blade but has a 5 blade instead
