I guess many of you know about this bike, but I just discovered it for the first time this weekend in Myrtle Beach. It was "bike week" down there, and I was down to golf with my dad. The rep at their trailer said these things have been around since 1990.
Anyway, they strap either a ZZ4 or ZZ5 (depending on your level of insanity) to a motorcycle frame and call it a motorcycle. No offense to anyone having or desiring one of these, but I found it to be absurd in concept and to look at. I'm just curious how clueless I am. You guys know about these? Ever seen or wanted one?
There's a guy in New Orleans with one w/ a 502ci with a 8-71 blower on top!!!!!
He's putting out about 800hp
I seen it at the world of wheels. Get this he has TWO tachs on it. He said one is the "real" tach and the other he has the needle set at like 1200 rpm. I asked him why and he said the second tach is set to let him know how muchhe can tach it up to do a burnout before the motor puts out too much torque and twists the bike sideways and knocks him off. He said it happened twice before and had to get 4 friends to help him put it back on two wheels!

and for his next mod, I hear he's thinking of adding a couple more wheels, wheelie bars and a roll cage! Some guys just have that death wish.
Jay---I thought from the post title you were thinking of getting one.
hey i want one of these bike because i have a need for speed i would get it with the 502 a guy i work with has one in his family of toys but i dont think they have it in them to open it up like i would
that radiator does look nice :U
i know another guy that crashed one said his foot was messing with the clutch some how and the guy that sales them was cool about it told him it was insured busted the tire rim and something else when he hit the curb
I have seen these at car shows throughout the past couple of years. You have to be a hoss to ride one. I don't think I would want to own one, but I sure would like to take a ride on one with an experienced rider. :yesnod:
They certainly are cool.. as long as you travel in a straight line!! I've ridden full dress Electra Glide Harleys, but handling the Hoss through turns and twisty's was a major chore. I rode one last year with the standard 350ci in it, and that kind of torque on a bike is just plain insane. Spinning the rear tire was way too easy. No trans to shift either... just stop and go. Cool conversation piece... :D :D
wouldnt looks bad if they found a better place for the radiatior
Maybe a better place would be on the bottom of the bike. If adding some kind of a spoiler
that would force the air from the bottom into the radiator - it should work fine...
They build them here in the town I work in (dyersburg , tn) , It's pretty small outfit but they make a nice looking product. You actually can buy in different stages of completion, I looked at one several years ago no motor , all the chrome , If I remember correctly I think it was 12 - 17k. I see maybe one a year in this town , I think they must ship out most of the orders. :)
