Default 79 Window Issues

Both power windows must be pulled up or pushed down to fully move them. The window motor functions, but sounds as if the teeth on the gear might be just hitting something it shouldn't. When the window switch it engaged the window might move up an inch at best, while a grinding and clunking sound comes form the regulator gear maybe (not exactly sure, it's kind of a difficult place to see). If anyone has been faced with a similar problem and has any helpful advice they can offer, it would be greatly appreciated.

There are two gears that may not be interacting well. The gear on the motor and the regulator gear. One or both may be stripped and while you may get lucky that they need to be adjusted I suspect you may be in the market for a few window gears.

Thanks for the advice. I was worried the solution was going to be something like that. I guess when I next get some free time, I'll be trying my hand at taking out the motors.
