79 with a squeaking driver side rear
Hey all im new to this site and new to vettes. My father and I went half in on a 79 add a car to work on and have some fun. The car is in excellent shape considering. my question is im getting a squeaking noise from the drivers side rear. It didn't start until yesterday. We bought the car two days ago and didn't do it then. It had a different noisewhen we bought it like a rattle found out one of the clips broke of the outside hub cap. I took it off and it fell out. That solved that now its got a really annoying squeak from that same wheel any ideas?

Have you inspected the brakes on the rear of the car? You'll have both regular brakes and emergency brakes to go through.

Ok thank you for the info hopefully today I'll be able to check those things. Thanks for the advice. I was doing some research on how that back end is setup and I was wondering if it might be one of the bearings because when the car is off the ground there is some play in the wheel if you grab it and shake it. Should there be any play in this car? I should tell my dad its his half of the car he'd get a kick it of that.
