I'm putting a new intake on my car and had a few questions. Does the A/C compressor need to be removed to make the swap? And is there anything else besides the distributor, waterneck, and A/C mounting bracket that needs to be removed?

Should be able to move the compressor out of the way enough to make the swap.
Be sure to carefully mark all connectors, wires and vacum lines as to their locations (drawings help). Also, it's a good idea to ensure you have all the plugs and fittings you'll need before you start and check the location of things like temp sensors to ensure they'll be ok after the swap (mine wound up under a rad hose).
Good luck,

Just making sure I cover all of my bases. This will be my first intake swap so I'm being really careful. I got the new intake, the gaskets for it, and some RTV. I'm also replacing my EGR. Which leads me to another question. The EGR I pulled out was the original Rochester I'm sure. It was pretty plugged up too. How much could that of affected my performance?
